In this one time course we will be making Holiday Slime using basic materials. We will begin by going over the materials we have and make a prediction about how our slime will turn out. Will the slime be extra sticky? Will the slime be stiff? How will the slime look? How will the slime smell? Once our prediction is made we will begin the process of making our slime. Students will be asked to mix all of their ingredients together to make the slime. Students will be given time to explore what they have made and then we will talk about our predictions! Discussion between students about how the slime is being made is encouraged. No prior experience or knowledge is needed.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to make a prediction. Students will be able to describe the slime they have created.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Miss Alex. I am very excited to focus on social emotional development in students who are 3-5 years old. I plan to teach classes about emotions, problem solving, and communication with others. In a young students life these are such important challenges that come up daily and without the proper skills to address them students can easily become frustrated. It is important to teach them the skills for a successful educational career early. I am a Pre-School teacher in a public school in New Jersey and I absolutely love what I do. I believe in the power of play and I believe in importance of discovery. Allowing students to explore the world around them creates the curiosity we need to raise a successful future generation. I started teaching 5th grade Language arts and when my school noticed how heavily I included social emotional learning into 5th grade they felt I should give Pre-School a try and I fell in love!
