4 live meetings
2 in-class hoursClass Experience
This one-week camp will allow learners to create four different types of sensory dough to play with. We will make candy cane slime, hot chocolate cloud dough, gingerbread playdough, and Jello dough. Each recipe results in a different texture for learners to explore. *Please note that younger learners may need assistance in measuring and blending some of the doughs well. *Please note that the hot chocolate cloud dough is the same recipe I use in my Hot Chocolate Cloud Dough Senses Exploration class. Due to the nature of these activities, the class will be roughly 35 minutes each day but depending on factors such as learners needing extra help, discussions, etc. class may go a few minutes shorter or a few minutes longer to meet the needs of the individual group. I will not be making these recipes with learners in order to make myself more available for their questions or to assist where needed.

I am a licensed K-8 teacher with 17+ years of experience teaching ages 2-16 in a variety of capacities. My classroom experience has mainly been in Kindergarten and Preschool but I have also taught two-year-old preschool, first grade, second grade, and fourth grade. My most important role is as a homeschool mom to three wonderfully curious children. We are a neurodiverse family and I believe in creating opportunities for all children to learn and grow. My teaching experiences include a variety of settings: Montessori, public schools, private schools, and international schools both in-person and virtual. I have been teaching English as a Second Language online for the last 5 years. I have taught in the US states of Colorado, Wisconsin, and New Mexico as well as the countries of Kuwait and Fiji. I love teaching young children using hands-on and multisensory approaches, including games and songs where I can. Learning should be fun and I always do my best to help children enjoy their journey.
I hold a Master of Education degree from Regis University in Colorado. My Bachelor of Music degree comes from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with an emphasis in Flute Performance. While in Kuwait I studied through the Educational Collaborative for International Schools and Cambridge University to obtain my International Teacher Certificate. I believe education is a lifelong journey and am always working to further my knowledge and skills through self-study, workshops, and courses.
I am passionate about traveling and learning about different cultures. I live with my husband and three children in the USA. Together we enjoy hiking, traveling, swimming, playing games, and learning together.
