Class experience
This is a supplemental holiday-special class for students who are currently working on Piano Adventures Level 3A and above. It is designed to be an addition to your regular private lessons or group classes. Also a great option for those learners who are taking a break from their piano lessons but would like to learn some holiday music. A fun splash to the holiday cheers! For this 6-week course, you will learn 5 holiday-themed songs with a bonus 6th song, and create a holiday recording project 1. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker 2. Deck the Halls 3. Carol of the Bells 4. Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! 5. The Most Wonderful Day of the Year The learner will select 1-2 songs from the 5, and we will create a fun holiday recording.
Hello Everyone, my name is Shirley Wang. My students call me Ms. Shirley. I have been a professional musician for over 25 years, and have taught for over 25 years as well. My students range from age 3 to 70+, from absolute beginners to professional musicians to other music teachers. I started on the piano when I was 4, and loved it ever since. Received my music performance degree from the University of Southern California, performed on the stage at the Carnegie Hall as a soloist, and am still actively performing as a pianist and an opera singer. I believe fun and excellence can go hand-in-hand. I love it when students feel "G-R-E-A-T" with what they have accomplished! Looking forward to having you in my classroom!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
To be successful with piano studies, students need to practice outside of their lessons/classes. (In this case, they can practice with me every time they sit down to play since you can replay the recorded session!) In most cases, the students would need help to organize their practice schedules from the parents. It helps if it is at the same time every day. This is the best time to start the learner on a practice habit. I highly recommend for the parents to be nearby during the lectures and the practices to make sure the students are playing their actual assignments.
