Description

Class Experience

DAY 1: - Pipe cleaners (white, silver, and/ or blue are recommended for the snowflake, any color can be used for the candy cane) - Fingernail clippers (this is the safest and easiest way to cut pipe cleaners.) - Pony Beads (red and white, these are for the candy canes DAY 2: - Yarn (for a heart and a winter cap, any color will work, I recommend red and green) - Clear tape - Construction paper (any color) - Cardboard ring (this can be made from an inner roll from toilet paper or paper towels, or by wrapping a strip of construction paper into a ring) - Age-appropriate scissors DAY 3: - Construction paper (green for the tree and multiple colors for the round ornament) - Pencil or pen - Glue (a glue stick is best but white glue works as well) - Age-appropriate scissors DAY 4: - 2 Pinecones (these can often be found on the ground at a park but can also be store-bought for a more uniform shape) - Mini-pompoms (any colors you want) - White glue or craft glue - Construction paper (for the owl's face - use any colors you want) - Pencil or pen - Age-appropriate scissors
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
These are child-friendly crafts but you know your child best, please step in if you are not comfortable with the activity at any point.
Please ensure that everyone is working in a safe manner.
Don't use any materials that your child has allergies to.
Please provide age-appropriate scissors.
Only allow your child to use tools and complete steps if they can do so safely.
