This course will discuss the Hindu Holiday of Holi, the symbolism of colors with emotions, abstract painters such as Basquiat, Jackson Pollock, and more. Students will then create their own abstract painting discussion how they feel.

Description
Class Experience
Students will learn about the symbolism of colors, the cultural holiday of Holi, Jackson Pollock, and Basquiat.
I have taught visual art for 5 years in a public charter school in New Orleans. I have taught this activity in my 5 years teaching, and my students all loved it. I hope to share that same excitement with your students too!
There is no homework.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This activity is mainly meant as a fun release for the students and to create a social environment.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
