Description
Class Experience
By the end of this course, students will be able to identify and use six different tools and techniques to enhance their creative writing. Students will know the parts of a sentence and parts of speech, and be able to identify how to enhance basic sentences with additional information. Students will be able to add dimension to their writing through powerful adjective and verb choices. Students will be able to use colors as symbols in their writing, and develop characters successfully as modeled by J.K Rowling.
There is optional homework that students may choose to do with parents or older siblings to practice what was learned in class throughout the class, and a an optional final project will be given at the end to encompass all six skills in one activity.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
