The Christmas season is a great time to let all your creative energy flow! Whether you've been writing Haiku poems for a long time, or you're ready to learn about them, this class will give every writer an opportunity to express a love of Christmas through one of my favorite poetic forms. We'll talk about traditional and non-traditional Haiku, and we'll find some jolly inspiration in reading some written by various authors. There are bound to be some laughs as we see some of our hilarious picture prompts, too! We'll share and discuss our writing as we proceed through our session. Please join me, and bring your holiday spirit! There will be no required homework, as there is only one session. Remember, we are all expanding our knowledge together (including the teacher). I'm looking forward to learning with you! Mrs. Rae Marie (M.Ed.) (Writing, Poetry, Fantasy Fiction, ACE Educator)

I'm a poetry nut, and I really enjoy the Christmas season! I love to read poems, and I love to write them. In my experience, I've found that Haiku is one of the easiest and most enjoyable form to teach kids whether they consider themselves to be writers or not. It's just plain fun!
