Please see our other similar Korean and Japanese classes offered for younger students. The Korean language has become extremely popular due to K-pop and K-dramas! This 1-time 40-minute class is aimed at students who are interested in starting their Korean language journey. Discover Korea through its language! Students will be introduced to Hangul - the Korean language alphabet Students will also be shown popular Korean names to practice writing. Students will be instructed on Korean writing rules for names. Students will use Hangul to individually practice writing their names. (* PERSONALIZED writing of Student's name in Hangul) Student will practice introducing themselves in Korean. Students are expected to participate in the writing activities and have cameras ON to show their work. [Repeat students may turn their cameras OFF, but may be asked to show their written work.] In this class, all Korean is accompanied with English and Romaja (Roman alphabet) for easy reading and following along. No prior Korean language learning is required - Easy Korean! Please bring a notebook/paper and pencil/pen to class. Only the Outschool classroom and Zoom are used for this class. Teacher Lynn studied abroad in Daegu, South Korea before becoming a teacher there. She was a teacher for Korean elementary and middle classes in Daegu, South Korea for over 2 years. She lived in South Korea for 5 years (Daegu and Seoul). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Korean language, but fell in love with Korean culture and discovered a passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She is a Korean and Japanese online teacher and private tutor.
