(Click the "Show Alternative Times" button above) :) ~~~ ‘Learn How to Write Your Name in Japanese!’ 1-time class with Teacher Lynn (リン 先生). ** This class is for Ages 13 - 18 (flexible). Please see our other similar Japanese classes offered for younger students. The Japanese language has become extremely popular due to anime, J-pop and J-dramas! This 1-time 45-minute easy-going class is aimed at students who are interested in starting their Japanese language journey. Discover Japan through its language! Students will be briefly introduced to the three writing systems of Japanese (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji). Students will be instructed on Japanese Katakana writing rules. Students will use Japanese Katakana to individually practice writing their names. Students will also be shown a Kanji of their name's meaning to practice. (* PERSONALIZED writing of Student's name in Katakana and Kanji) Students are expected to participate in the writing activities and have cameras ON to show their work. In this class, all Japanese is accompanied with Rōmaji (Roman alphabet) for easy reading and following along. No prior Japanese language learning is required - Easy Japanese-y! Please bring a notebook/paper and pencil/pen to class. Teacher Lynn (リン 先生) completed her Master’s degree in Oita, Japan. She was a teaching assistant for Japanese middle school, high school, and university in-person classes in Japan. She has been living in Japan for 6 years (since 2017). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Japanese language, but fell in love with Japanese culture and discovered the passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She has been a private Japanese online tutor for over 3 years.
