Description
Class Experience
Students will be introduced to Japanese Kanji characters. Students will paint or draw the beautiful Japanese Kanji characters they learned.
Teacher Lynn (リン 先生) completed her Master’s degree in Oita, Japan. She was a teaching assistant for Japanese middle school, high school, and university in-person classes in Japan. She has been living in Japan for 6 years (since 2017). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Japanese language, but fell in love with Japanese culture and discovered the passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She has been a private Japanese online tutor for over 3 years. Teacher Lynn has also taught Chinese students for 4 years (since 2019).
Homework is not given in this course. ** Student may need extra time after class to finish their artwork. **
** Please bring art supplies to each class. Student's pick which drawing supplies they prefer or have available for class each week. ** +RECOMMENDATIONS+ ~For Physical Art: crayons color pencils color markers color chalk art pens oil pastels blank paper computer paper drawing paper pad sketchbook paint paint brushes cup of water for paint brushes paint pallet canvas
Students will be asked to show their Japanese Kanji characters artwork.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance is not needed for this course - However, please keep in mind that some art supplies are messy. ++ All content is appropriate for all students of every background.
No sources beyond the standard Outschool tools are needed.
