Students will realize that they already know some Korean words (they just didn’t know it!) Students will study the main writing system of Korean - Hangul. Students will be familiarized with Korean vocabulary words. Students will write their name in Korean. Students will start their journey of leaning Korean in a fun and exciting way!
Teacher Lynn studied abroad in Daegu, South Korea before becoming a teacher there. She was a teacher for Korean elementary and middle classes in Daegu, South Korea for over 2 years. She lived in South Korea for 5 years (Daegu and Seoul). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Korean language, but fell in love with Korean culture and discovered a passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She is a Korean and Japanese online teacher, and private tutor.
Homework worksheets will be provided on the Outschool platform classroom forum for students to practice Korean writing and reading individually. Links for Writing review practice on Memrise, and game on Kahoot will be provided by teacher Lynn. ** Homework completion is not required, but recommended for the Korean learning experience.
Notebook and Pencil are recommended to take notes. **To submit the completed homework worksheets, students may need a printer and scanner, or a program that allows them to write on the pdf homework worksheet files and they can take a screenshot/photo. (Please contact teacher Lynn if there is a difficulty submitting the completed homework worksheets.)
Students will answer questions weekly on the Outschool platform classroom forum to assess their understanding. Self-assessment activities will also be provided.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
All content provided by Teacher Lynn is appropriate for all students of every background. Parental guidance is recommended, but not required for the 3rd party websites: Youtube, Memrise, Kahoot, Lexilogos. Login may be required for the websites. No additional costs to use the websites.
Teacher Lynn will provide links of the private videos and learning sources. Homework worksheets will also be provided on the Outschool platform classroom forum.
