Then we'll look at reflection questions that help us relate her experience to our own lives. We will be using a piece of educational technology called Nearpod. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about women from history as well as historical events and periods. They will learn self-reflection and will be given the opportunity to share their thoughts with the class.
I have been teaching about Women's History for the last few years. I consider it a very important topic that is often missed in education. We need to see powerful women and how they have helped shape the world to help foster more equality in the future.
There will be no homework assigned although additional reflection questions will be provided for anyone interested.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
We will be discussing women's lives in history which may included challenging things from history such as sexism, racism, violence, etc. We will be using an approved outside resource called Nearpod for the presentation. Students will open an additional website at join.nearpod.com. They will be given a class code at the beginning of class each week to join live.
