In this one-time class, students will learn about the history behind the African American Barbie Doll and practice reading skills such as compare-contrast, the sequence of events, and cause and effect.

Students will learn about the historical facts leading to the development of the African American Barbie doll. Students will also learn how to compare and contrast, sequence, and determine the cause and effect of the information they learn in the class.
