Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Journey around the world as we travel through time looking at the lives of children. Each week we will travel to a new time period and country or city and learn about the lives of the children that once lived there. We will meet new friends who will tell us about their lives in different time periods and places around the world. We will learn what a regular day in their life was like. We will peek at where they lived, what kind of shelter they lived in, what food they ate, what animals were present, the tools they used, the clothes they wore, the daily chores they did, and what kind of education they might have received. We will only be looking at the lives of the children and will not be going into the history of the country or city they lived in.

Each class will be presented with a slide show to help the young learner visualize and understand the place and time being discussed. Students will be able to ask questions and express their thoughts openly. Each class will have an activity or craft that goes with that week's topic. Parents are welcome in class to help their young learners when necessary.
