US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Through a combination of lecture, pictures, videos, and discussion, we will explore cat's best friend: the cat. We'll travel back 12,000 years in time to discover how and why cats first began living with people and make our way through to contemporary times as we discuss the changes they've gone through to become the snuggle buddies they are today. Topics will include, but are not limited to: - honoring cats - uses for cats - how different breeds came about - and the future of cats. Make sure to bring your kitties, so they can silently judge class from your lap (and show us their backsides as they scornfully walk away). Meaningful participation is encouraged, but no one will be put on the spot.
