March Challenge: Find the secret chest following clues from history and help build a temple to Athena.

April Challenge: Can you add onto our Medieval section? It's growing and we still need shops and authentic festival games for our fairgrounds, our Medieval village is ready for more medieval styled homes and buildings. Let's learn about the medieval world through building!

May Challenge: Asia. This month we will learn about traditional temples and architecture from ancient Japan and China. Do you think that you can build a temple? Would you like to add to our village on the water?

June Challenge: Build in the style of the Incas. Can you build a mountain top base?

Challenge for August: We will start building an accurate Roman Forum. You may choose to reconstruct the ruin, or the building in its original state. I am happy to provide ruin plans and help you mark out the area to make everything fits into our version of the Roman Forum.

Challenge for September: Welcome to Caledonia (Scotland) in the 800s AD. A wintry world of Celtic culture and Viking settlements. Would you like to try building a Viking style house? Or perhaps a dragon-headed ship? Or can you take on the build of the town's Long House?

Challenge for October: King Arthur! Let's recreate Camelot, the sword in the stone, and other places from the adventures of Arthur.

Challenge for November: THIS IS SPARTA!! Join our Spartan city and add your own training centers, houses, and temples, as we learn about Ancient Sparta.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I’m Sondra Rapoport, your friendly neighborhood Roman Historian. I taught with Harvard University's Dept. of Classics for 6 years as a Head Teaching Fellow. I taught classes on The Rome of Augustus and Roman Games and won awards for distinction in teaching each semester I taught with Harvard. I also taught History of Ancient Egypt at Tufts University and worked for years on the Giza Project. This project catalogues, translates, and researches the 150 years of archaeological discovery around the Great Pyramids. Now, I homeschool my son and I greatly enjoy adapting my knowledge and classes designed for university level to each of his grade levels.
