Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
In this class, each week learners will compete against each other answering questions about the World War 2 in the Pacific, Europe and North Africa theaters, and whoever answers the most questions correctly wins! Each week will cover a different period of the war and will go in semi chronological order.

No prior knowledge of World War 2 is required. To make things fair before each class learners will receive a document that contains all the answers prior to class. They should study it before coming to class, and it is requested that they not have it nearby during class, but try to answer the questions on their own from memory. Learners should come to class with 1 to 3 facts about the World War 2 not included in the document for extra points.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a huge history buff. I love learning about history and doing research about different time periods. World War 2 is an important part of my family history. Several of my Great Uncles served in the US Army, (one fought with Patton) my Grandfather served as a Merchant Marine, and both of my Grandparents on the other side lived in the Netherlands during the war and my Grandfather was part of the Dutch Underground. Growing up I heard them tell stories about the war and I always wanted to hear more. They all had fascinating stories to tell. (Ask me in class to tell you some!)
