Description
Class Experience
This flex course will guide students through the process of designing, researching, compiling, and presenting research for a history fair project. The results of this class will meet the guidelines to apply to local history fairs around the world in the National History Day competition. Students will learn about how to design a project that researches a historical issue, how to display the evidence of that research with a project board and written work, and how to present the project to the...
Students will learn how to design and conduct their own research projects, as well as how to present their research orally, visually, and in writing.
I have a master's degree in history from the University of Cambridge, as well as 15 years teaching experience. I have participated and won at history fairs at the state level, as well as taught students through the process and served as a judge for local competitions.
Each week learners will be assigned a step of the research project to complete, as well as activities on the message board to engage their learning beyond the videos.
You will need a tri-fold project board, as well as other supplies to present your project visually.
Assessment can be provided in any format requested by the family.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
