Class Experience

In this ongoing historical document club, we will learn about the different historical documents that influenced U.S. History.  We will cover the Magna Carta, Virginia Company of London Charter, Virginia Declaration of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, Bill of Rights, and the Preamble and U.S. Constitution.  Students can join any week(s) they would like, no prior knowledge required since we’ll study a different document...

Students will learn about the important historical documents that influenced our founding fathers as they developed our nation.

There will be an optional writing assignment provided at the end of each lesson.

A handout will be provided prior to each class on the corresponding document for that lesson.

35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
