US Grade 4 - 7
In this class, students will learn about the lives of historical figures: outlaw William H. Bonney (Billy the Kid) and lawman Pat Garrett. We will cover who they were and why they had a rivalry. We will use powerpoint, video and discussion, questions and answers. My teaching style is upbeat and positive. Learners will interact with each other and me through questions, answers and discussion. Students will learn abou the lives of Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett.
I have taught full-time as well as subtitute taught and tutored for many years. I was a docent for the Autry Museum, and my great-uncles owned and operated a well-respected ranch providing horses, wagons, wranglers and stuntmen for tv and movie westerns, such as Wagon Train, Laramie, Cheyenne, John Wayne movies, and which encoured my interest in western history.
There is western, historical, violence such as shooting guns and people getting shot, but I try to focus on the rest of their lives.
