You may never have heard of Robert Ballard but when a plane or ship is lost in the vastness of the ocean he is the man to call.

A retired Navy officer and a professor of oceanography he has perfected a new form of science. His expertise is in maritime archaeology and the archaeology of shipwrecks.

He is known for finding the RMS Titanic, Bismarck, and the USS Yorktown.

But how and why does he do it and what is he working on now?
