This beginners hip hop dance class will introduce basic movements of hip hop. We will warm-up, stretch and learn a fun, upbeat routine! During the end of class we will make a craft for our doll! Don't forget to bring any kind of doll to dance with!!!
Class experience
During this class we start off with a warm-up and stretch our bodies for about 15 minutes along with our doll. We will be using music from the soundtracks of the American Girl Movies. We will then learn choreography to an upbeat dance routine, representing Isabelle! (25 -30 minutes) During class we will have a couple breaks that include about 5 minutes to learn sign language that deals with our theme and we will also make a cereal box for our doll at the end of class for about 5-10 minutes!...
Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a full routine by the end of the class!
I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!

Print the cereal box you prefer for your American Doll or any doll. Bring to class and we will assemble them. (Bring scissors/tape or glue) If you are not able to print you can bring any items from around your house to make something else or you can just use this time to play with your doll!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. (Dance at your own risk.)
