Hip Hop/Jazz, American Girl Doll Themed Dance Camp With Doll (2 Day)
In this 2 day dance camp for beginners, I will introduce basic movements of hip-hop and jazz. We will warm-up, stretch and learn a fun upbeat routine with our dolls! During class we also chat about our dolls and make a craft for our doll! Get ready for some fun in this hip hop/jazz dance class!

Class Experience
During this class we start off with a warm-up and stretch our bodies for about 8 minutes along with our doll. We will then learn choreography to an upbeat dance routine! (25 -30 minutes) During class we will have a couple breaks that include about 5 minutes to chat about our dolls and we will make a craft for our doll at the end of class for about 5-10 minutes! Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. This song is upbeat and fun. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a full routine by the end of the class!
I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!
No homework is assigned but practice is encouraged!
2 files available upon enrollmentBoth days, bring your American Girl Doll or any doll to class to dance with! Day 1: During the end of class we will make a cereal box for our doll. Here is a link to to print out and bring to class. If you are unable to print you can bring a blank piece of paper to make your own. https://www.americangirlideas.com/american-girl-doll-breakfast-cereal-diy/ Day 2: During the end of class class we will making a microphone or rocket for you and your doll. For either craft you will need a toilet paper roll, foil, tape, and 1 post-it-note or small piece of paper for your dolls microphone or rocket. Scissors, and colored paper and any other decorations you can bring as well!
Encouragement and feedback will be given throughout the class.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. (Dance at your own risk.)
