Class Experience

This is an ongoing class is that will teach learners how to analyze hip hop songs. As well as to be social in class and practice on their own time to get better. Classes are interactive and will be social with respect. I will provide live performances, play real life examples and allow for learners to perform. Class is broken into 4 sections.

1. The rollcall: Introduction of myself, the lesson, and the class.

2. The breakout: Learners will listen to a song that will highlight the class theme. As a class we will analyze the song.

3. The Writing: Each learner will write their own poem/rhyme and I will break out and work with each student individually.

4. The cypher: Each learner has a chance to rhyme and test their skills. (Although optional learners are taught to express themselves)

Thanks for visiting my profile. I'm offering classes under the frame work of Mazing U. My classes are geared toward teaching the learner to become the best version of themselves through self expression. My classes center around mazes or mazeology and a style of art I created. Focused on progressions I teach the learner basics shapes of life to inspire confidence.

A self taught teacher and artist my journey for both started with the birth of my first son. Inspired by his attempts to speak I started writing children's books. This started my love of teaching as well when I volunteered to read to his pre school classes. 13 years later I have 8 years teaching my own free art classes and substitute teaching experience k-12 in 50 different schools, My art career started as a way to save money for illustrations for my books. However I created a unique style that introduced working mazes to all my art. 1200 + art mazes later I look forward to using my mazing style of drawing to teach the youth how to create.

My philosophy is to Inspire my learners to find or fulfill their purpose through the chosen curriculum. I seek to help students to explore through art allowing confidence through self expression.

I love to freestyle rap and enjoy rapping and telling stories to my classes!
