This multiday class is created for beginners wishing to learn a brief hip-hop routine in 30 minutes. The teacher will provide the music and choreography, students will learn by visually seeing the choreography presented during class. Questions and clarification on movement will be answered throughout the class. It is encouraged for students to follow along with the teacher's movements. We will begin the class by having a full-body warm-up. Students will learn a brief choreographed combination. The combination is 5, 8 count segments total and will be upbeat in speed. There will be a range of movement from upper to lower body but all choreography will be standing on the floor. The class will conclude with a cool down to reduce the potential for soreness. Sneakers and water are recommended but not required. Students are encouraged to wear clothes made for sweating in (such as t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, or leggings). Dancers will dance alongside each other throughout the class and can encourage one another to learn the movement. Previous dance experience is not required but encouraged. The teacher has 24 years of dance studio based dance experience including competitive hip-hop dancing.
Learning Goals
-Students will learn their body in space while completing choreography routines.
-Students will work on their memory as they recall new routines taught to them.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is recommended due to the potential for injury. An open space, sneakers, and water are required.
