In this ongoing 50-minute Hip Hop Class, students will learn the fundamentals and a more stylized structure of Hip Hop. Their newly learned moves will then be compiled into a short routine to one of their favorite songs! New choreography each week. This is a beginning level class, no previous knowledge is necessary. Students will be up and moving the entire class! Class Format: 10 Minutes: Introduction/Warm-Up/Stretches 10 Minutes: Overview of some moves/vocabulary 35 Minutes: Learn approximately 30-one minute seconds of hip hop dance choreography. We will use Disney and Kidz Bop versions of popular songs. Each section and move will be broken down piece by piece. At the end of class, we will have a final "performance" and students will pretend they are performing in a dance recital in their living room! Other Details
Parental Guidance
As with any type of fitness activity, there is potential for injury. Students should have enough room to move around during class free from any furniture and other objects. They should wear comfortable clothing. They may wear closed-toed shoes (sneakers), dance shoes, or dance barefoot when appropriate.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Our teachers have attended top improvisation programs including The Second City Conservatory, Annoyance, Magnet, and more. Our dance teachers have trained with renowned schools in NYC. All of our teachers are professional performers with a minimum of a BA degree.
