Description

Class Experience

The goal is that students will learn rhythm and musicality and increase their coordination, muscle memorization and spatial awareness. Hip hop dance is one of the most unique genres of dance, and students should learn their own way of doing the same moves that will be introduced to them.
Dance has so many things to offer and I can appreciate how much I was able to incorporated in to my real life. I am grateful to have learned life skills and lessons, such as the importance of relationships, commitment, exercise, challenges, integrity, sportsmanship, and so much more. I believe that everyone can benefit from dance. It has a way of encouraging individuality, and I do my best to provide the tools and knowledge students need to explore their individuality and the art within through movement. I humbly admit I have never been injured in my dance career and that I support and believe it is due to technique and the proper ways to present movement; all of which I pour into my students every class!
There is no homework for this course.
I suggest the following material for this class: - Pen and paper for note taking (optional). There will be terminology discussed and making notes will encourage the information to be remembered. - Learners must be present and visible for this class. - Comfortable clothing for mobility. e.g. leggings, tennis shoes/sneakers, sweatpants, knee pads (optional). - Drive! Come determined to learn something new and work at it and make it your very best!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed based on how quickly they receive and present the movement provided, the type of questions they ask and if they are applying their corrections (and their classmates).
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
-Students are encouraged to take this class where they have plenty of space for safe mobility.
-Students should have access to water to stay hydrated.
-They do not need shoes, however loose attire is highly recommended.
There are no other sources for this course.
