Class Experience
Back by popular demand, my beginner hip hop class can now be done on your own time! Many students want to join my live class, but had scheduling conflicts. This four week course is the perfect opportunity to continue to improve your hip hop skills. This class will be taught in the same format as my live class. I'll demonstrate the dance moves by posting a video at the beginning of the week. The video will consist of stretching, followed by three new dance moves to music! Week 1: This video will contain three new hip hop moves to an awesome pop song. Students will be given a dance combination to learn as their weekly assignment. Students can record themselves performing the dance and share it in the classroom. Other students can comment, discuss, review, and learn together. I'll also provide a freestyle challenge. Students can dance to music of their choice and I'll challenge the learner to incorporate these new moves into their freestyle. Students can post the video in the classroom. Students can vote who their favorite freestyle dancer of the week is! Week 2- This video will contain three new hip hop moves to an awesome pop song. Learning Goals
Students will learn basic hip hop dance moves and put the moves to music. Students will improve on dance skills and learn at their own pace. This is especially great for shy dancers. I've had some shy dance students during the live class and this is a great way to improve their skills. Students will also get their heart rate up, this is a great PE opportuinity for homeschoolers. This is also a fun way to invite friends and learn the same routine and practice together at a more convenient time for parents.
