Class Experience

Welcome to Virtual Performing Arts Academy, where your child will learn to sing, act, and dance, all online!

This is a one-week, beginning Hip Hop dance camp. This camp will help students begin their journey with Hip Hop while learning fun moves and choreography. Each class will begin with a warm-up where students will stretch. They will then learn some vocabulary words and moves that will be used in late combinations. Students will practice and receive feedback. After, students will learn choreography to some dance hits including Kids Bop, Descendants, and more. During instructional time, the instructor will break down each section, and then allow the students time to ask questions. On the last day of camp, students will present the choreography they learned in a "recital" in their living room.

Each class will generally follow this format:
First 10 Minutes: Warm-up/Stretch
Second 10 Minutes: Direct instruction of beginning Hip Hop dance steps, teaching, and review of vocabulary.
Last 30 Minutes: Choreography Practice

Day 1: Introductions, Basic Moves, Begin Choreography
Day 2: Review Moves, Choreography Review and Add on - Talk about coordinated costumes for tomorrow.
Day 3: Review, Dress Rehearsal, and "Recital"

Each week is a new focus!
