Class Experience

Hello, welcome to the Hindi language class.
**Classes will begin by introducing ourselves, such as, "Hello, my name is Kosha" (Namaste, mera naam Kosha hai), discussing previous class topics as well as a quiz from it.**
In this class, we will be learning basic words and phrases that we speak daily to help students communicate in Hindi. Each week we will choose a topic such as numbers, colors, fruits, vegetablesetc, and learn things related to the topic. Examples are below:
Week 1: Numbers 1 to 15 (Ek se Pandrah)
Week 2: Colors
Week 3: Fruits
Week 4: Vegetables
Week 5: My Family
Week 6: Animals
Week 7: Parts of the body
Week 8: What do you want to become? Doctor, engineer, lawyer, teacher etc.
Week 9: Emotions. How do you feel?
Week 10: Lets ask questions in Hindi. Who, What Where, How etc. Lets recap everything we learnt and show and tell!
This class is discussion based but will be using worksheets in all classes. Not only will we will speak about the topic in as much detail in both, Hindi and English but also write words to practice learning them. Example we will write 1- Ek , 2 - Do, 3 - Teen so the students know what they mean and how to pronounce them. It's completely fine if students cannot write, I will be providing sheets to practice at home at a later time. English will be used to support the students with basic understanding of the topic.
No previous knowledge of the language is needed in this class.

Hello everybody, my name is Ms. Kosha, a proud teacher, wife and a mother to my 7 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I was born and brought up in India, with English and Hindi being my strongest languages growing up. Hindi was taught in my school, college (university), and used as the main language to speak in, throughout the time living in India. Despite coming to the United States 15 years ago, I have never let go off my culture, and passionately teach kids of various age groups on a daily basis. As a teacher, I am fun loving, welcoming, as well as positive in my teachings. I believe, encouraging a child when they do something right is the best way to teach. As a mom of young kids, I know that patience is virtue and show that in my teachings. I assure you, my classes will be fun as well as strongly focused on the subject.
