1-2 hours per week. Students will work on writing their own cover letter after class and be able to upload it to the classroom in able to get feeback from the teacher.Class Experience
US Grade 9 - 12
Students will learn how to write an enticing cover letter that they feel confident in using in job applications during or after high school. Topics covered include: First 3-5 minutes: greetings, answering initial questions about writing cover letters 10 m: Cover letter format, differences between business letter and personal letters 20 m: What to include in your cover letter, how to develop a persuasive narrative about yourself, researching the site you're applying to. 15 m: Practice writing a sample letter, teacher projects a sample based on student feedback. 5m: Chance for students to ask questions, directions to upload a cover letter for review on the classroom.

Students will learn to write an effective and catch cover letter that gets them noticed when applying for jobs during and after high school.
