4+ hours per week. Students should expect to spend 30 minutes to 4 hours on any given writing assignment. Each writing prompt is an invitation for the students to engage in individual writing experiences.Class Experience
In this 4-week online course, students will be given 1-2 writing prompts per week to work on in exchange for teacher feedback on their writing. Students will need to offer 3-5 contributions for each discussion thread. The teacher will provide feedback for all of the writing assignments from the previous week on the Monday following each week. *Please note that this course does not involve live video meetings. I give feedback electronically on Google Drive on the students' writing. I am happy to try to schedule one fifteen-minute video session, so that the student can meet me.*
Learning Goals
Students will learn to accept positive feedback and constructive feedback in stride. They will learn to take pride in their writing and in the editing process.
