This second year high school Spanish course will build on the irregular preterite and imperfect tenses along with direct and indirect object pronouns while growing the student's ability to speak, read and write.

Class Experience
Week 1/2- Irregular preterite verbs ir, ser, tener, estar and poder and places in the community Week 3- Driving, traffic signals and public transportation, present progressive Week 4- Errands and expressions with daily life, more stem change Week 5-Direct object pronouns, describing items we need to buy in a pharmacy Week 6-Irregular imperfect verbs, irregular preterite review, activities we did as children Week 7-Describing one's childhood vocabulary, expressions and grammar Week 8-Talking about one's own childhood with a written story or informal speech
I have a Master's degree in Education, a Bachelors degree in Spanish and I am certified to teach Spanish K-12. I have taught students ages 4-18 from beginning Elementary Spanish to Level IV high school. I also have extensive experience teaching ESL to learners of English and hold a TEFL certificate.
Students will receive homework at the end of each Google Slides presentation to reinforce learning in class as well as individual projects that will be shared in class using the Spanish language. Homework will take 15-30 minutes per class outside of class time.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
At times, I will be using short 1-3 minute Youtube videos to reinforce grammar as well as introduce or review vocabulary. These videos will be incorporated into the class presentation via Google slides. I also use learning games like Kahoot, Quizlet ad Pear Deck which will require students to join from their devices during class time.
