In this online interactive course, students will expand on regular present tense verbs to include irregular and stem change verbs.
This course is designed to build on the course, High School Spanish I Quarter 2. Along with new material, previous vocabulary and grammar concepts will be revisited as new material is introduced. Once new vocabulary is introduced via class lecture, google slides and at times, video clips, we will practice the content using fun, interactive games and conversation. Students will speak read and write using the following concepts: - Present tense verb ending in AR and their meanings -Present tense verbs ending in ER/IR and their meanings -Irregular present tense verbs Tener/Hacer -Present tense verbs with stem changes -Basic commands -Travel vocabulary -Daily routines/chores -Advanced vocabulary for places -Advanced vocabulary for the home
I have a Master's degree in Education, a Bachelors degree in Spanish and I am certified to teach Spanish K-12. I have taught students ages 4-18 from beginning Elementary Spanish to Level IV high school. I also have extensive experience teaching ESL to learners of English and hold a TEFL certificate.
Homework OfferedStudents will receive homework at the end of each Google Slides presentation to reinforce learning in class as well as individual projects that will be shared in class using the Spanish language. Homework will take 15-30 minutes per class outside of class time.

Paper, writing utensil and the ability to join a special "Google classroom" created for students enrolled in this course. We will utilize "Kahoot" and "Pear Deck" as a group to reinforce new material. I will also, at times, play a 2-3 minute video/song from Youtube to introduce the class to an educational song.
