I have taught beginning through advanced level Spanish since 2016. I have taught Spanish to 2nd graders, and 6th-12th graders. I have taught in-person classes for the majority of my career, and have been teaching & tutoring online Spanish since January 2023.
Homework Offered
There will be supplemental notes sheets and/or vocabulary links shared in the classroom to use to study & practice between classes. There will be small writing assignments occasionally, in which I will give feedback on grammar, and we may use the following class to read aloud, to practice listening comprehension skills, as well as pronunciation and speaking skills.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
About every 4-8 lessons, students will answer quiz questions to test their knowledge from previous lessons, or have a small project. Students will be given a letter grade based on accuracy of quizzes and projects. They will be required for all students that need to show credit of taking a high school Spanish 1 class (1st semester).Grades Offered
Letter grades will be offered to students that need to show credit for taking a high school Spanish 1 1st semester course. Students need to earn a C or better in order to pass onto the next Spanish course.
Paper/notebook, a pencil, and an eraser. A laptop or chromebook would be better than using an ipad, because we type answers in the chat often. If able, printing some of the notes or worksheets may be useful, but not required.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will be using Youtube via screen-share for supplemental videos that may help with Listening comprehension. I may also use Quizlet in screen-share mode to teach students how to navigate all of the vocab review options the site has to offer. I will use Google Slides in screen-share mode for me to present content. I may use Google Docs to have students access digital notes (that could be printed if they choose to) I may use Kahoot, Gimkit, or Quizlet to play vocab-based games.
