This course builds upon a previous course titled: "High School Research: Developing Skills". While it is not necessary to have completed that course before taking this one, I do highly encourage those who are interested in taking this course to talk with me if you have any questions. In this course, we will not be spending extended time learning how to do the necessary steps to completing research, but rather learning how we can take skills that we already know and perfect them. Each week students will be developing a research paper while practicing the more finite details of college-level writing. The teacher will provide feedback at every step and at every level. Student's needs will be met on an individual basis and students will be challenged no matter where they are in the process and no matter where their struggles.

I have taught professionally for five years in public schools but have worked for more than ten years in tutoring, mentoring, and educating students. I currently run many mini-versions and full live versions of these classes in Outschool as well and have reviews for all of them! Research is a skill that is covered at all levels in brick and mortar schools and is therefore something I have experience with quite a bit. This is the second course in a series which covers additional research skills and which highlights many of the skills colleges desire in their students.
