Description

Class Experience

Students understand the difference between distance and displacement, and between speed and velocity
Students can calculate distance, displacement, speed, velocity and acceleration
Students can solve problems involving average speed and average velocity
Students can construct and interpret slope and areas of motion graphs
Students understand the acceleration due to gravity near the surface of Earth
Students can use kinematic equations to solve problems for objects moving at constant acceleration in a straight line and in free fall
Students can break vectors into components (graphically and algebraically)
Students understand the independence of vertical and horizontal motions of a projectile
Students can solve problems involving motion for projectiles fired horizontally
I am certified in Physics and have taught Physics for 20 years (including AP Physics).
