US Grade 9 - 12
These individual tutoring sessions are designed to support learners in completing and mastering their math problems. We all learn differently, and the instructional approach must be altered for each student’s learning style. That's precisely why one-to-one is often the best call for parents who want practical classes for their children. This ongoing class is for students who would like regularly scheduled reoccurring meetings. Please get in touch with me before enrolling, so I can open a new section and adjust the schedule to your available time. Week 1 <Thursday 21> Depends on the Learners' Questions and Needs Week 2 <Thursday 28> Depends on the Learner's Questions and Needs Week 3 <Thursday 5> Depends on the Learner's Questions and Needs Week 4 <Thursday 12> Depends on the Learner's Questions and Needs Week 5 <Thursday 19> Depends on the Learner's Questions and Needs Week 6 <Thursday 26> Depends on the Learner's Questions and Needs We can work on some of the following topics: Number Relationships, Fractions, Decimal Numbers, Percent, Measurement, Addition and Subtraction, Integers, 2D Geometry, Linear Relations and Linear Equations, Area and Volume, Statistics, Interest, Transformations, Similar Figures, Ratios, Proportions, Inequalities. I will provide guided practice and encourage independent practice. I will share my whiteboard, and we will write on the screen, or they can share their screen with the homework questions on it, and then we will write on the screen using the annotate tool on Zoom. If homework is completed before the session is finished, I will check and reinforce the student's understanding with additional similar problems that I will provide. IMPORTANT! I expect complete focus and attention from the student. If you hope I will solve their homework problems without their participation (mic on, the camera on, discussing answers and strategies), I'm sorry, but maybe someone else is the right teacher for you. Please message me if your student would like to meet more than once per week.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of all concepts assigned in their homework and get additional practice, making them more confident in solving math problems.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje
My complete education and working experience reside in working with students to achieve their excellence in math. I have the expertise and fluency in math tasks, but knowing math for yourself and how to teach and educate others are two different things. I can explain math problems, relate those problems to everyday life, to other school subjects like chemistry and physics, and finally, offer validation and understanding of students' feelings of anxiety or fear of math.
These grades could be the most challenging ones since many students enter their teenage period, are rethinking their past interests, and are starting with new ones. This is when we (adults, parents, and teachers) should provide the maximum support and encourage them to pursue their academic career paths. I have seen so many elementary A-students just getting 'lost' in their puberty years, and then, as we all know, because math is the most scaffolded subject that exists, that 'lost' period is almost irreversible.
Provide your student with excellent support today!
