Class Experience

Students will hone their basic math skills needed for High School Algebra and Geometry.
I have taught Middle School Math for the past few years in a public school, and I am currently tutoring Middle School Math and an ACT Math Prep class on Outschool. I feel that my greatest strength as a math teacher is allowing students to develop and share their own explanations for how math works instead of giving them a process to memorize. I find that this style of teaching makes the math more meaningful to the students and keeps them more engaged in the topic.
Students should have access to Google Apps such as Google Slides and Google Sheets. These are easily accessed if the student or anyone in the household has a Gmail account.
