This is a fun and informal book club for students who love horror and thriller books! We will start with spending 2 weeks on a book but this can change as the club decides! I will lead a round table discussion each week and students are expected to respond and provide their thoughts, opinions, and observations on the book. They may compare books to movies they’ve seen, experiences, other books, etc. We will also discuss literary terms and elements as they aide comprehension or add to the conversation.
Books are pre-selected by the teacher and updated weekly. Student suggestions are encouraged! Your suggestion could be chosen!

The purpose of the group is to foster a love of reading and to meet with peers of the same interests. Since this is an interaction based class, each student will be expected to participate in the discussion in a respectful manner.

***PARENTS: please look up the books before enrolling your student to ensure the choices will be a good match for your student and your family. All the books are classified as YA OR adult as this is a teen book club. I try to stick to books with teen characters! Please see the Parental Guidance section below.
