2-4 hours per week. Homework is assigned after each meeting. Students learn best when they have an opportunity to practice the skills and concepts learned in class. I provide feedback on homework turned in by the time it is due. I also post the answers to the homework in the classroom. Students are expected to read my feedback, check their work, make corrections when necessary, and ask questions in class.Assessment
Students have the option to take tests through out the 15-week course. Tests are completely optional. Please let me know if you would like your learner to take tests, and I will provide them for you.Grading

This thirty-session online Geometry course will fulfill the requirements of the first semester of a high school level Geometry. However, you do not have to be in high school to take this course. Many middle school students are ready for Geometry before high school. This class meets twice a week. When we meet, I will teach new material and review previous material. Students are encouraged to actively participate with via various methods, even anonymously if they are shy. I am available to students by email during the week to help with any questions they have. Note that this class will meet 30 times. I have two make-up classes included in the schedule. These extra classes are included in case I am ill and can not teach on a particular day. This course is a full semester of the first half of high school Geometry. If you would like to be provided a percentage score for this class, I am happy to do so. The score will be based on class participation, homework completion, and tests. Students must complete all unit tests before a percentage score can be given. I also teach Jumpstart Geometry, which is a short six-session introductory Geometry class. It gives students a jump start on learning beginning Geometry topics. The content taught in this course will also be taught during the first few weeks of this semester Geometry course. If your student would like to meet me and see if they like my teaching style before signing up for a semester course, Jumpstart Geometry will do just that! Look at my reviews on Outschool to read about how other students enjoyed and learned from my Geometry courses. And, please message me if you have any questions.
Learning Goals
Students will learn Geometry concepts and logical reasoning as outlined in the syllabus.
