This 5-lesson course covers high school curriculum for the genetics unit. Genetics is a very fun unit, students usually enjoy learning about inheritance patterns and how to predict genetics probabilities for next generations. For each lesson I am providing a video and a practice worksheet. Course outline: -Introduction into genetics what is genetics field, research questions, genetics terms -Mendelian genetics experiments with pea plant, Mendel's observations that helped him to establish genetics rules -Monohybrid crosses: we will follow Mendel's observations of pea plant experiments -Two-hybris crosses: is one gene effects inheritance of another gene? -X-linked inheritance -Non-classical genetics In my classes, I am using a combination of whiteboard illustrations and engaging PowerPoint presentations to ensure that every concept comes to life. Homework assignments are given for reinforcement, with completed worksheets due before the next session. Students should expect my feedback on weekly basis during my office hours: Monday - Thursday 11-2pm EST. Students are also encouraged to submit any questions or concerns. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Welcome to my class!
