Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner Level
Hello and welcome!

If you are interested in becoming a Crime Scene Investigator, Forensic Scientist, Evidence Collector, Crime Scene Analyst, Criminal Profiler, Private Investigator, etc., then read on.

My name is Lance Davis, and I am your instructor for this in-depth 20-lesson Forensic Science course. I am an active 26-year law enforcement veteran and an active criminal justice instructor with a passion for crime scene investigation and forensic science.
This course will be taught twice a week for 45-minutes each and each lesson will be eye-opening with not only learning important information from class, but students also having varied assigned lab work at home. A few of the topics that will be taught are: Observation Skills, Basic Response to the Crime Scene, DNA, Fingerprints, Glass Evidence, Ballistics, and much more. Please see the class schedule listed below for more details.

This class will be structured and taught using Google Slides, YouTube Videos, some assigned written work, Kahoot - used as a fun end of the chapter review, and at-home assignments. There is no required knowledge, just an interest in Forensic Science or the Crime Scene Investigation field. Also, due to the nature of the class, there may be some unsettling videos and photos that may not be recommended for everyone.

Parents and Guardians, if your student needs credit for this class, I can give grades by weekly test, at-home lab work, and assignments. I will even give a final exam at the end of the class. If you need this, please let me know before the course starts.

REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 2 students enrolled in this course, active participation, and cameras to be on at all times. If for some reason you are unable to attend class during one of the weeks, please watch the replay and do whatever the assigned work/lab there is to do that week.

Below is a schedule of the Lessons. If you have any questions, then please let me know. Thank you for your interest.
