High School Environmental Science

In this semester-long high school science class, we will learn all about the environment, human impacts on it and how it is continually shifting and changing.

Assessment
I will provide weekly assessments to determine where at student's understanding is. The assessments will take place outside of the classroom if we run out of time during our class.
Grading
Grades will be offered by request.

Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner Level
Environmental Science is an elective high school science course. It explores the interactions between humans and Earth's environment, and the science concepts needed to understand and critically think about environmental issues. Our class format will primarily be lectures but students will be given opportunities to share thoughts and ideas as well as asking questions. Grades will be offered upon request. The grades will be a combination of weekly assessment scores and class participation.

 The different earth systems that make up our planet will be explored.

 We will learn about food webs, food chains, and energy pyramids.
