Description

Class Experience

This ongoing high school English tutoring class will be customized to the learner's needs. The teacher will communicate with the parent and the learner to determine the best course of action based on the student's current coursework and needs.

Possible topics covered include:
*homework help
*essay outlining, drafting, and/or editing
*reading comprehension skills
*grammar (commas, semicolon, subject/verb agreement, etc.)
*PSAT, SAT, or ACT test prep and study skills
*AP Language or AP...

Students will receive support in essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar skills, and/or standardized test prep.

I've taught honors, AP, and concurrent credit classes for 8 years. I've also worked as a writing tutor at two universities. In addition to teaching at a public school, I have also worked as a private tutor for over 10 years, specializing in writing tutoring and SAT/ACT prep.

While most of the work will be done during the session, students may require additional time to complete assignments.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
