Beginner - Advanced Level
Course Description: This one week self-paced Language Arts course does not have any live meetings. The course is aligned to the national standard of main idea. This course is the first course in a series of main idea workshops. National Standards: -RI.9.2, 10.2, 11.2, 12.2 - Main Idea Course Format: Students will participate in a lesson video to learn how to use supporting details to identify the main idea of a text. Next, students will complete a Google Form practice over identifying the main idea. Then, students will read two texts and complete a main idea assessment over each of the text. The last text has an optional Kahoot comprehension activity after the assessment. The teacher will be available throughout the week via Outschool to answer any questions and to give feedback.
