In this 6-week course, high schoolers will read, write, research, and present, covering the main Common Core Standards.
Class experience
US Grade 9 - 12
In this 6-week boot camp, students will cover the main Common Core standards for Reading Literature, Reading Informational, Language, Writing, and Speaking & Listening. At the end of the course, students will have a portfolio full of their work samples. The final portfolio will be in a Google folder that both the student and instructor will have access to. If the student takes future classes with the instructor, they will be able to continue adding content. Instruction will be presented...

Students will cover the main Common Core standards for high school English.
I have taught middle (6th-8th) and high school (9th-12th) English Language Arts for 10 years. I am certified to teach English (6-12) and ESOL (PK-12) in Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. I am also certified by the National Virtual Teacher Association. I have a B.A. in English and Secondary Education, a minor in Theatre Arts, and a certificate and endorsement in ESOL. I also have an M.Ed. in Media (Instructional Technology concentration).
Homework Offered
Students may need to work on unfinished classwork outside of class.Assessments Offered
