Description
Class Experience
This course is designed to be part 2 (of a 3-part) high school chemistry course that gives the student a good foundation in chemistry in order to prepare him or her for a college-level course. In order to understand the material, the student needs to have completed Algebra I and should have access to a scientific calculator. I have taught multiple sections of high school Chemistry in Minnesota since 2008. I enjoy helping high school students grasp these fundamental concepts about the building blocks of our universe.
If you do not want to receive a grade for this class, then the homework and quizzes are not required and you can estimate 0-1 hours of outside class work. If you want a grade, then the homework and quizzes are required and you should estimate approximately 4 hours of outside class work per week. Either option will cover all the objectives of a high school class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Optional quizzes and lab reports may be completed. Those students who submit this work will be given a grade report at the end of the class.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
