Description

Class Experience

This course is a beginner level chemistry course for high school students.  Students will demonstrate scientific understanding by using problem solving, experimentation, class discussion, and videos.  Student will have access to the instructor by making an appointment to meet in the Outschool classroom and through email.  Students should have a basic understanding of basic algebra or pre-algebra skills before taking this course.  Students will explore the fundamental principles of chemistry...

I have taught math, science, and social studies for the past 20 years in a high school setting.  I have been trained in AP testing and have taught AP Science (Chemistry and Biology) and Social Studies (World History, Government, and US History).

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Schoology

No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
