Beginner - Advanced Level
This High School Biology Class is designed to provide flexibility for all students. With a new topic introduced each week, there’s no need for prior knowledge—students are welcome to join the class at any point. Those who attend the entire semester can earn a certificate of completion and a grade. Topics covered throughout the course include: 1. Introduction to Cell Biology 2. Eukaryotic Cells - Organelles 3. Macromolecules: sugars, lipids, proteins, nucleotides 4. Cell cycle- Mitosis 5. Genetics Introduction 6. Classical Genetics 7. X-linked inheritance 8. Mid Course quiz 9. Biodiversity 10. Biodiversity - prokaryotes 11. Students are assigned a mini project 12. Students presentations In this class, I use a blend of whiteboard and PowerPoint presentations to clarify new concepts and enrich the learning experience. Practice worksheets are available for students to complete during class or as homework, reinforcing their understanding of the material. Please reach out to me with any questions.
